Namibia trip 15 – 27 November 2026
Greg and his wife Heide are friends of mine in Windhoek, Namibia. Greg has also been my colleague as a geologist and hydrogeologist since 1990 when I began my involvement in Namibia.
We have done about 15 safari trips with Swedish tourists since 2012 and together participated as guides, which we will do again this year. We have had around 200 Swedish guests to Namibia.
The attached program shows our travel route, where we will stay overnight, and what we will visit.
The trip is arranged so that everything is included except drinks with meals and a few lunches where it is difficult to gather the participants for a shared lunch. This includes airport transfers, all transportation during the trip, overnight accommodation, breakfast and dinner, as well as any entrance fees.
The total cost will be approximately SEK 41,000 (based on the current exchange rate), plus flights, which are estimated at around SEK 8,000–10,000.
Registration and a deposit of SEK 10,000 must be received by the end of March. Full payment is due at the end of September.
Travel insurance is provided through each participant’s home insurance policy. Participants should check whether their policy includes cancellation cover, for example in the event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
Flight tickets are booked individually, and Ethiopian Airlines is recommended. The flight departs at around 21:00 from Arlanda or Copenhagen (Kastrup) and arrives in Windhoek at approximately 14:00 on 16 November. The flight lands in Addis Ababa at around 06:00 on the morning of 16 November, and the connecting flight from Addis Ababa to Windhoek departs at approximately 08:00.
The trip is primarily intended for seniors and families with children. The number of participants is limited to 18.
